Though I'm sure someone will inevitably tell me that this is 'normal' or the usual course of action of WordPad, I HAVE Word on an install disc sent by Dell when the PC was purchased, new, six years ago. For instance, whenever a WordPad doc is opened on this PC, the (MS) 'Word' logo jumps-up first, before/during the loading of the WordPad doc.
It WAS here - and 'parts' of it still seem to remain. I think my problem here, was that Word was removed from the system at one point in time or another.
